LiveBionic is a website for patients to find, rate, and review prosthetists.
LiveBionic allows you to see reviews on an individual prosthetist, instead of just the clinic. It is the prosthetist who you have a relationship and work directly with, and it can cost a ton of money and a lot of time, and that is why we feel it is important to hear from their patients before committing to using their services.
If you want to leave a review on a certain prosthetist, you can find them easily by searching their name above. Then, click on their search result card to visit their profile and leave a review. Reviews are looked over before being posted publicly.
After you hit search, you can click the link that shows up above the search results to submit a new prosthetist. Right after you hit submit, you can leave a review for them as well on the same page. All new prosthetists are reviewed before being added, so it may take some time before you see them show up in search results.
Patient Info exists to make the search results and reviews vastly more helpful. This way, when you're reading reviews, you can get a good sense of the type of patients that prosthetist has experience with and the perspective of the review.
Currently, this site is run out of pocket. It is free because we believe patients should not have to pay to find care that can already cost thousands of dollars. If you're interested in sponsoring or donating, please contact us.
LiveBionic was created by Alex Schwartz, a double below-the-knee amputee since age 1. After going on his own journey trying to find the right prosthetist, he saw the need for a service where the community can come together to help each other find the right fit.
